In late 1997, Pastor Jeff Roy and his wife Janice came to Muskoka to plant Huntsville Alliance Church. At first, the church met at Riverside Public School. The average attendance was around ten people. This group faced many challenges during the first twelve months.

Things turned around during our second year. We moved to the Huntsville Public Library. Our average attendance tripled to more than thirty. Space was limited at the library, and our growth pushed us to look for a new place to meet. We soon came across an old Baptist church that was for sale. In November of 1999, we signed the agreement to purchase the building. It was apparent to everyone that God was involved.

Our church family continued to grow. With an average attendance of about one hundred people, we once again needed a larger place to meet. God provided: In January of 2007, we sold our building and began renting Algonquin Theatre on Sunday mornings. We rented office space nearby as well.

In the future, we plan to purchase a space that will allow our church family to grow even larger. We are certain that God has exciting plans for us!
