From an early age, Jeff liked to repair
things. He started with bikes, moved on to lawn mowers and go-carts, and
then his dream car: a 1970 Dodge Challenger RT
440 Magnum 6 pak. Over the years, Jeff
|
|
has been
drawn to anything broken, from boats to trucks to land cruisers. As the
church plant took root, he worked as a part-time mechanic. Currently, Jeff's
hobby
is working on two 1973 Series III Land Rovers, a Terra Jet, a 3-wheeler
and several tractors. |
Jeff's desire to fix broken things extends
beyond vehicles. This passion for fixing what is broken
is what led him to
follow God's
call to help broken and hurting people. But first, Jeff
came to realize that deep within his own soul there was a
part of him that
was broken and in need of repair.
Jeff comments: "We all have hurt and
pain in our lives. The repair procedure for
the soul involves surrender to
God, humility and transparency. I have found that
the biggest obstacle
that people face to finding inner healing and spiritual peace
is pride.
This coincides with what the Bible teaches, and what we experience."
The fisherman
For fun, Jeff loves to fish. Actually, he
calls it hunting: "muskie hunting". His largest muskie to date
is 46 inches. If you ask him, he'll be glad to email you more photos.
